Who we are

Who we are

Himalayan Chyangra is the storefront of Chyangra Pashmina Research And Agro Tourism Pvt. Ltd. (CPRAT), a model farm at 3,800 metres in Lo Manthang, Upper Mustang. Every goat is raised directly on our own pastures — 100% wild herb-fed, vaccinated and vet-checked before it is listed.

Stay with us at the farm, or collect from our hub centres in Kathmandu and Pokhara — either way, you see the animal for yourself before you buy.

Common questions

Everything people ask before ordering

Every goat is weighed on a calibrated livestock scale on the day it is listed, and we photograph the reading on request. Weight can shift by a kilo or two before delivery, which we will tell you about in advance.

Yes. Payment is cash on delivery, so you inspect the animal at your door and pay only once you are satisfied.

Yes. Every animal undergoes mandatory vaccination against PPR and Foot-and-Mouth Disease, regular deworming, and examination by a licensed veterinarian before listing. Animals reaching our hub centres in Kathmandu and Pokhara carry official veterinary clearance before final delivery, and the certificate travels with the goat.

Every Himalayan Chyangra goat is raised directly on our own CPRAT model farm and managed herder pastures in Lo Manthang, Upper Mustang, above 3,800 metres. We do not trade or purchase third-party livestock for our own listings — each animal is individually tagged and traceable to our pastures.

Our Chyangra graze freely on wild alpine flora — Jimbu, wild thyme, alpine clover and mountain herbs — and drink glacial meltwater. No grain feed, chemical additives, artificial hormones or antibiotics.
